Hotel Room Inspector Location:
Dubuque, IA Pay Rate:
$17.00/hour
Job Summary:
The Hotel Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and designated public areas meet the hotel's established standards for cleanliness, presentation, safety, and guest readiness. This position conducts detailed inspections of cleaned rooms, verifies that all amenities and supplies are properly stocked and identify maintenance concerns, and communicates deficiencies to the appropriate departments for timely resolution.
Essential Responsibilities:
Inspect guest rooms after housekeeping service to ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness and quality standards. Verify that all guest amenities, linens, towels, and supplies are properly stocked and arranged. Identify and report maintenance, safety, or repair issues to the appropriate department. Ensure rooms are guest-ready prior to occupancy and meet established inspection criteria. Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate room status updates with housekeeping and front desk staff. Monitor housekeeping performance and provide constructive feedback to support quality improvement. Assist with inventory of guest room supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and sanitation standards. Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and staff
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards. Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business needs require. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Comfortable bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and other repetitive movements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
