POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager Environmental Services is responsible for managing environmental services divisions in addition to supporting the Director with overall shift operations, ensuring the medical center environment is clean, meeting infection control standards, attractive, and in orderly condition in all areas where the division provides services. This position will manage environmental services operations for the campus and OSF off site locations if needed, oversee the floor care team and performance, and in conjunction with department leaders, develop and roll-out standard processes as to reduce variability and ensure quality-based operations. This role is responsible for analyzing and reporting departmental performance data, safety reports, leading departmental improvement projects, ensuring excellence with floor care, supporting the department's training program, managing equipment, ensuring departmental compliance with safety, and ensuring efficient and quality-driven mission partner, performance within the department to promote patient throughput, quality and service excellence. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate degree and 3 years of experience in environmental services or supervisory role OR High school diploma and 4 years of experience in environmental services or supervisory role.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure/ Certification:
Certification in Healthcare Environmental Services (CHEST, T-CHEST, CHESP)
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Ability to implement and manage programs for Environmental Services management, hazardous waste management, linen management, associated accreditation and regulatory compliance. Ability to develop and manage performance, quality measurement and evaluation programs. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
