Environmental Services Manager Warsaw Meadows Care Center - Warsaw, IN Full-Time | Skilled Nursing Facility Warsaw Meadows Care Center is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Manager to oversee and manage the Environmental Services Department within our skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Position Summary The Environmental Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all housekeeping and environmental operations to ensure the facility meets infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements and promotes a comfortable, high-quality living environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise all functions of the Environmental Services Department Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition at all times Ensure proper availability, operation, and maintenance of equipment and supplies Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance and department effectiveness Enforce facility and company policies, safety regulations, department practices and all universal precautions Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, and regulatory standards Train, supervise, and support environmental services staff to meet operational and regulatory goals Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility and shift Meet with Administrator as needed to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services Maintains resident rooms by cleaning all areas, maintains and contributes to the cleanliness and presentation of the facility Demonstrates proper body mechanics with the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, able to bend lift twist pivot pushes and stoops Possesses the ability to manage time effectively, utilize a computer for ordering purposes, schedule staff within the department and practice accountability Effectively communicates with other members of the team Sort soiled and contaminated linen, operate washers and dryers, and fold and distribute personal and facility linen in accordance with established facility policy Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental services, preferably in a supervisory or management role Training in environmental control practices and procedures preferred Experience in a medical or long-term care setting strongly preferred Flexible schedule with the ability to work on weekends Must be 18 years of age or older Benefits We offer a comprehensive and affordable benefits package, including: Medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance Telemedicine program Company-paid group life insurance Voluntary term life insurance and short-term disability 401(k) retirement savings plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter benefits Paid Time Off (vacation, personal, sick, and state sick leave) Weekly and monthly staff recognition programs DailyPay - View earned wages as they accrue and access them daily (nominal fee may apply) Education Assistance - New Benefit Up to $5,250 per year toward tuition reimbursement• Up to $2,625 per year toward repayment of a non-federal nursing student loan• Benefits, bonuses, and variable compensation plans are subject to applicable state law and may vary based on employment classification, job grade, location, and length of service.
