ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Train and schedule Housekeeping Employees. This including arranging back - up plans for unexpected absences. Clean rooms and inspect completed rooms to ensure all standards have been met and that public areas are always maintained and in a spotless condition. Develop daily production schedules, assess priorities for each type of linen that needs to be laundered. Provide a "hands on" management of the day to day operations by establishing and controlling planned cleaning scheduled; working closely with front desk to ensure that guest accommodations are ready in a timely manner. This includes cleaning rooms when needed to ensure actual room status matches the PMS. Coordinate work orders to ensure work is completed. Monitor employee uniforms to ensure dress code standards are always being met. Resolve guest and staff complaints with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Collaborate harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and the GM. Maintain all PARs and inventories and issue purchase orders as required. Establish detailed cleaning and preventative maintenance programs to preserve appearance and life of all furniture, fixtures and equipment. Ensure equipment is properly maintained. Ensure financial goals of the department are being met. This includes monitoring and controlling labor expenses and other departmental expenses such as uniforms, linens, guest supplies, cleaning supplies and contract services.
