WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham brings an innovative approach to the extended stay hotel segment, offering both traditional extended stay suites as well as unfurnished suite options for longer stay lengths. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This critical role involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our hotel to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for our guests.
Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and attractive conditions of the hotel or resort. The ideal candidate will ensure that all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance while delivering exceptional guest service. The Housekeeping Supervisor will also be responsible for managing and motivating the housekeeping team, conducting inspections, and collaborating with other departments to maintain overall hotel quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead housekeeping team members, including room attendants, housemen, and laundrystaff, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard. Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanlinessand adherence to hotel standards. Train, mentor, and coach housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and properuse of equipment and cleaning chemicals. Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring workload is distributed efficientlyand in line with occupancy levels. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, and place orders as needed to ensureadequate stock. Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction is a toppriority. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies and procedures to maintain a healthy and safeenvironment for guests and employees. Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to coordinate roomavailability and maintenance issues. Assist in scheduling and staffing needs based on hotel occupancy and operational demands. Report and follow up on any maintenance issues or repairs required in guest rooms or public areas. Maintain up-to-date records of room inspections, staff performance, and cleaning schedules. Support the Housekeeping Manager in achieving departmental goals, including guest satisfactionscores, cleanliness ratings, and cost control.
Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or resort environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment. Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) is a plus. Must be able to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality or housekeepingcertification is a plus.
