Full Job Description Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed (days, nights, weekends, and holidays) Must have basic cleaning skills Demonstrated knowledge of housekeeping practices and procedures is desired This position is physical in nature and requires complete physical mobility, including, but not limited to, bending, carrying, climbing stairs, crawling, reaching and squatting. Position requires ability to lift up to 40 pounds of supplies and push and pull up to 40 pounds of supplies. Must be customer service orientated Attendance is crucial to position

To contribute to and ensure an attractive and clean hotel in accordance with the standards of our hotels, by providing superior cleaning of our guest rooms and public areas. Responsible for providing and ensuring superior service internally and externally.
General Account-abilities:
Routine Cleaning:
Ensures guest rooms are cleaned thoroughly, efficiently and ready for sale in accordance with training and standards Ensures replenishment of guest room supplies and amenities
Profit:
Effectively support the control and management of all housekeeping operational expenses including labor, overtime, supplies, etc. Seek and suggest cost saving strategies Participate in controlling daily costs per occupied room for housekeeping activities
Quality:
Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure hotel meets and/or exceeds brand standards for guest satisfaction Ensure that the hotel meets and/or exceeds brand standards for quality standards and guest satisfaction
Safety and Security:
Perform all cleaning functions in a safe and sanitary fashion without jeopardizing person, team member or guest health, safety or security.

Specific Essential Tasks/Duties:
Ensures thoroughly cleaned guest rooms and public areas completed in a timely and efficient manner to established standards Communicates effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors. Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed. Handles difficult situations effectively. Meet Hotels' service standards Completes work projects as assigned by supervisor and management Maintains the overall cleanliness of the Hotel's guest rooms and public spaces by cleaning all assigned areas thoroughly on a daily basis. Turns in articles found in public space to lost and found. Follows hotel grooming and dress standards. Follows key control procedures Coordinates room availability with Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisor and Guest Services Manager Ability to communicate with hotel guests, announcing arrival at door, and comprehending special requests from guests. Ability to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible. Must be able to use the equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, vacuum, cleaning supplies and safety equipment. Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area. This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise and crowds that depends upon customer volume. Associates are at times subjected to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions are followed. Ensure removal all used linens from room and bath and replaced with clean linens Communicates any issues to Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisor Ensures beds are made to standards Check refrigerator and microwave for trash; remove and clean to standards Ensure clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers Empty wastebaskets Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines Dust and polish furniture and equipment Ensure metal accessories and metalwork have been polished such as fixtures and fittings Replace light bulbs Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items
