Lansing and East Lansing, Michigan Ascent Hospitality Group is seeking a dependable, experienced hospitality professional to work between our Lansing and East Lansing hotel locations. This is more than a standard housekeeping position. We are looking for a trustworthy, hands-on individual who can clean guest rooms, inspect completed rooms, assist with laundry, and help ensure that our housekeeping standards are consistently met at both properties.
Primary Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare guest rooms as needed Inspect completed rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and readiness Identify and correct housekeeping issues before rooms are released Wash, dry, fold, organize, and properly treat hotel linens Help remove stains and prevent unnecessary linen loss Maintain clean and organized laundry and housekeeping areas Restock housekeeping supplies and notify management when inventory is low Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, and unusual room conditions Assist and communicate with housekeeping staff to keep daily operations running smoothly Travel between our Lansing and East Lansing properties as scheduled Help wherever needed to ensure all rooms are completed properly and on time
What We Are Looking For:
Previous hotel housekeeping, room-inspection, or laundry experience is required Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards Comfortable correcting issues and following up with housekeeping staff Able to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to the needs of either property Reliable transportation between Lansing and East Lansing Bilingual ability, particularly English and Spanish or Haitian Creole, is strongly preferred but not required Availability to work weekends and holidays when scheduled This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and understands that every guest room must be clean, complete, and properly inspected before it is released.
