Salary:
$47,800 Position Summary The Supervisor, Housekeeping oversees and directs a comprehensive program of housekeeping services for campus buildings, offices, and related facilities, ensuring cleanliness and an attractive appearance while managing the annual budget and performing supervisory functions. Primary Duties Performed Develops and implements a program of housekeeping services, ensuring cleanliness and an attractive appearance of College facilities Supervises housekeeping personnel, conducts follow-up inspections, and ensures compliance with cleaning procedures Implements procedures for cleaning facilities, restocking supplies, and disposing of trash Recommends and monitors the annual campus budget for housekeeping services Trains, instructs, and assigns work to housekeeping personnel; manages employee relations, including transfers, promotions, and terminations Schedules and oversees projects during summer breaks and arranges for additional help or overtime as needed Addresses employee concerns, approves time-off requests, and manages daily schedules Additional duties as assigned Qualifications/Experience Associate degree in a related field with 3 - 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience Valid driver's license and insurance Working Conditions On call availability 24/7 Occasionally works in extreme heat or cold Occasionally exposed to hazards or physical risks Occasionally exposed to hazardous chemicals and agents
Physical Requirements:
Constantly required to stand, walk, and move around facilities for extended periods of time Constantly required to stoop, squat, and bend to clean under furniture and in tight spaces Constantly required to use manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment Regularly required to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds Occasionally required to move supplies and equipment weighing over 50 pounds Occasionally required to climb ladders and work at heights of up to 10'
