Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Maintenance/Environmental Services Manager to lead and oversee all cleaning, sanitation, and custodial operations within our facility. This pivotal role involves managing a team of cleaning staff, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across all areas. As an Environmental Services Manager, you will also be responsible for the maintenance and survey compliance for the building and systems. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across all departments, including industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, and hospitality-related sanitation. Manage and mentor custodial staff to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to safety regulations. Develop and implement cleaning protocols aligned with industry standards for sanitation, safety, and environmental compliance. Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness standards, identify areas for improvement, and address any issues promptly. Ensure compliance with health codes, safety regulations, and environmental policies at all times. Complete all preventive maintenance making sure HVAC, water heaters, boilers, and other systems are functional and working as intended. Job may involve other functions as assigned by your supervisor. Skills Proven experience in custodial services or industrial cleaning management with strong supervisory skills. Excellent team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management protocols. Effective managerial communication skills to coordinate with teams, vendors, and stakeholders seamlessly. Customer service orientation with the ability to address concerns promptly and professionally. Experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping management is highly desirable. Competency in managing janitorial operations including laundry services when applicable.
