Summary:
Supervises/Leads Environmental Services employees in accomplishments of cleaning all areas of Hospital in accordance with established schedules, technical, and administrative polices/procedures and standards of performance. Performs other implied and assigned duties which include but are not limited to training and counseling employees, quality control reporting, scheduling, evaluating performance and production tasks in accordance with Environmental Services procedures, schedules, and standards of performance. Performs other duties as assigned in support of Support Service goals and objectives to achieve for patients, visitors, and facility staff.Responsibilities:
1. Ensures employees perform daily cleaning in assigned areas. 2. Ensures employees maintain and care for workplace and assigned equipment. 3. Trains employees to use proper chemicals, correct mixtures, and equipment (i.e. Rotos, extractors, automatic scrubbers, and other specialty items). 4. Makes effective use of department and Hospital resources. 5. Knows and performs assigned and routine additional tasks. 6. Knows and supports Hospital, Division, and department policies and procedures. 7. Supports and promotes the Wayne Memorial Hospital Guest Relations Policy. 8. Provides ongoing compliance with Workers' Compensation Policy. 9. Performs other departmental duties as assigned.WAYNE Other information:
Education- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred. Licensure/Certification
- None. Experience
- Two years environmental services, housekeeping experience required.
- At least two years supervisory experience required.
- Must possess ability to lead and manage team members.
- Possess ability to communicate with all team members and hospital staff. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Detail oriented and accurate.
- Ability to effectively use various computer applications and programs.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
