The Environmental Service Supervisor is responsible for, under the direction of the Director of Support Services, developing and implementing goals and objectives; establishing departmental policies and procedures; performing quality inspections, assisting in performance appraisals, coordinating daily cleaning assignments, providing direct and indirect supervision of EVS employees; providing for continuing in-service education; maintaining inventory levels; preparing reports; serving as a resource for special requirements in Environmental Services . Minimum Qualifications o Education o High school degree or equivalent required. o Credentials o
GPH Required:
A current motor vehicle operator's license Physical Demands 1. Stand and/or walk frequently. 2. Sit occasionally. 3. Lift 20 pounds six inches off floor to shoulder to six inches off floor frequently. 4. Climb a ladder two-three runs occasionally. 5. Bend, stoop and kneel occasionally. 6. Reach floor to overhead occasionally. 7. Ability to hear Essential Functions 1. Provides direct supervision for Environmental Service Technicians. 2. Determines and executes daily cleaning assignments. 3. Develops, recommends and implements goals and objectives for the department. 4. Reviews, develops, recommends, and implements departmental policies and provides necessary communication. 5. Conducts daily inspection to ensure quality Conducts performance appraisals for assigned staff. 6. Conducts daily communication huddle providing essential information. 7. Maintains proper cleaning chemical inventory and supplies. 8. Ensures safety program for all personnel within the department in conjunction with the safety program of the hospital. 9. Performs daily rounds on patients to ensure cleaning quality meets to exceeds patients standards. Join us. Join great.
