Job Description

Housekeeping & Facility CleanlinessMaintain the entire facility in a spotless, guest-ready condition at all times, including lobbies, reception, locker rooms, showers, saunas, pools and water areas, relaxation lounges, treatment rooms, dining and lounge spaces, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and entryways.

Treat anything visible or accessible to a guest as a priority: fingerprints, streaks, spills, clutter, and odors must be addressed immediately and proactively, not on a fixed schedule.

Conduct a thorough deep cleaning of the facility at least once per week, covering areas not reached in daily cleaning grout, drains, vents, high and low surfaces, fixtures, tile, glass, and sauna interiors.

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists and SOPs, and document completion for accountability.

Perform and log routine walkthroughs and inspections throughout the day to verify standards and catch issues before guests do.

Manage sanitation and disinfection protocols for high-touch and wet areas in line with public-health and spa-hygiene standards.

Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and consumables (e.g., amenities, paper goods); reorder to avoid stockouts while controlling cost.

Ensure safe handling, labeling, and storage of cleaning chemicals, including maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper PPE use.

Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to report and follow up on repairs, damage, or hazards identified during cleaning.

Supervise, schedule, and support housekeeping staff; assign zones, verify quality, and provide coaching and feedback.

Laundry OperationsEnsure all laundry and textiles towels, robes, linens, sheets, slippers, wraps, and cloths are collected, laundered, and returned to service on a daily basis with none left unaccounted for.

Maintain an accurate par-level inventory of all textiles; track counts, monitor loss and shrinkage, and reorder replacements before shortages affect service.

Follow proper wash protocols by textile type correct temperatures, detergents, sanitizing cycles, and drying to meet hygiene standards and protect fabric life.

Separate, handle, and launder soiled and potentially contaminated textiles safely, meeting sanitation and health-code requirements for a spa environment.

Inspect textiles for stains, tears, and wear; remove damaged items from rotation and manage repair or disposal.

Keep clean and soiled linen fully separated in storage and transport to prevent cross-contamination.

Maintain, clean, and schedule preventive service for washers, dryers, and related equipment; report malfunctions to Maintenance promptly.

Manage relationships with any outside linen or laundry vendors, verify deliveries against counts, and monitor quality and cost.

Keep the laundry area clean, organized, safe, and compliant with fire and ventilation standards (e.g., routine lint and duct cleaning).Qualifications & ExperienceRequiredMinimum of three to five years experience in housekeeping, custodial, or facilities experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.

Working knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, chemical safety (SDS/PPE), and sanitation standards for wet, high-touch, or public environments.

Experience managing supply inventory, par levels, and reordering within a budget.

Ability to build and enforce checklists, SOPs, and inspection routines, and to document completion for accountability.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Reliable availability for weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Our PreferencePreferred experience in a spa, hotel, gym, pool, or other hospitality/wellness facility.

Commercial laundry experience, including wash protocols by textile type and equipment upkeep.

Familiarity with local public-health and fire/ventilation code requirements for spa or pool facilities.

Bilingual (English plus Korean, Spanish, or another language common to the team) is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (e.g., linen carts, supply cases, equipment) with or without reasonable accommodation.

Comfort working in warm, humid, and wet environments including saunas, showers, and pool areas.

Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment; consistent use of required PPE.Repetitive tasks such as wiping, mopping, folding, and loading/unloading laundry.

Availability for early-morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on operational needs.
