Executive Housekeeping Manager Lead the team behind an exceptional guest experience. We re looking for an Executive Housekeeping Manager who takes pride in creating a hotel that looks, feels, and operates at its very best. If you re a hands-on hospitality leader who knows that sparkling rooms, welcoming public spaces, motivated associates, and genuine guest service all go hand-in-hand, we d love to meet you. In this role, you ll be responsible for the overall housekeeping operation-from guest rooms and public areas to team development, inventory, scheduling, safety, and cost control. Most importantly, you ll build a culture where associates feel supported and empowered to deliver an outstanding experience to every guest. What You ll Do Lead the Housekeeping Operation Oversee the cleanliness and presentation of all guest rooms and public areas, ensuring brand and hotel standards are consistently exceeded. Conduct regular inspections and follow up on guest satisfaction and cleanliness results. Create efficient daily schedules and room assignments while minimizing disruption to guests. Maintain effective systems for key control, lost and found, housekeeping supplies, linens, and chemicals. Monitor inventory and purchasing to maintain appropriate levels while managing costs. Partner with hotel leadership to anticipate operational challenges and adjust labor, staffing, and resources as needed. Assist with annual budgeting and maintain accurate financial and operating reports. Create an Exceptional Guest Experience Make guest service the heart of everything you do. Respond quickly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and feedback. Empower associates to anticipate guest needs and take ownership of the guest experience. Develop creative, value-added housekeeping service initiatives that enhance the guest stay. Ensure every associate understands and delivers on the hotel s service standards and guest service guarantee. Be knowledgeable about hotel promotions, local attractions, and points of interest so you can confidently assist guests. Build and Inspire a Great Team Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop housekeeping associates. Create a positive, respectful, team-oriented work environment where people enjoy coming to work. Lead by example and demonstrate professionalism, hospitality, energy, and a genuine commitment to service. Develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on development. Clearly communicate responsibilities, expectations, policies, benefits, pay procedures, and incentive programs. Address associate concerns and grievances fairly, consistently, and promptly. Monitor turnover and take proactive steps to attract, retain, and motivate great people. Recognize and reward strong performance while addressing performance issues appropriately. Champion Safety & Standards Maintain a safe, secure, and well-organized housekeeping operation. Conduct ongoing safety training and reinforce safe work practices. Identify and correct potential fire, security, accident, or workplace hazards. Ensure associates understand proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and applicable Right-to-Know requirements. Maintain compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws. What We re Looking For We re looking for a leader who combines high standards with a great attitude . You should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, solving problems, coaching a team, and making decisions in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of housekeeping or hotel operations experience in a 3- to 4-star hotel . Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Excellent guest service skills and a professional, positive approach. Ability to train, motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable. Ability to manage schedules, labor, inventory, purchasing, and departmental costs. Ability to read, interpret, and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions. Basic mathematical skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Sound judgment and common-sense reasoning when handling a variety of situations.
A plus:
Experience leading a large or diverse housekeeping team. Experience with hotel housekeeping systems and quality inspections. Multilingual communication skills. Physical & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on hotel leadership position. The Executive Housekeeping Manager should be comfortable spending significant time walking and standing throughout the hotel and working alongside the housekeeping team. The role may require reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and handling housekeeping tools, supplies, and equipment. The ability to see clearly at close and distant ranges, distinguish colors, judge depth, and adjust focus is required. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level and includes the normal activity of a busy hotel.
