Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our dedicated housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards across our hotel property. Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, chemical handling, and the use of cleaning equipment. Monitor the use of chemical agents, ensuring proper handling in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to verify cleanliness, floor care, vacuuming quality, and overall sanitation. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, including janitorial tools, vacuum cleaners, floor care machinery, and chemical agents. Enforce hotel housekeeping management policies, including adherence to emergency procedures and safety standards. Address guest requests or complaints promptly with a customer service-oriented approach, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Lead by example in heavy lifting tasks or manual handling activities required for maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care maintenance, sanitation practices, and janitorial equipment operation. Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for various cleaning agents. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors. Previous experience supervising housekeeping teams or janitorial staff is highly preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
