Full Time Day position

Responsibilities:

Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met. Scheduling staff shifts and organizing replacements as required. Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service. Providing training to the housekeeping staff. Regularly taking inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed. Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed. Perform day-to- housekeeping functions and specific tasks as assigned as needed Use proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions and procedures, ensure that work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner, clearly marked with caution or safety signs as required. Follow Universal precautions and infection control, isolation, fire safety and sanitation practices and promptly report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the Director of Environmental Services. Maintain resident confidentiality. Treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect. Know and comply with residents' rights, promptly report all resident complaints, accidents and incidents to nursing staff. ?

Qualifications:

Ability to speak, write and understand English. Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED required Previous Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting required Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques Effective communication and collaboration skills are required Organizational stewardship and Excellent Customer Service Skills required
