Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring exceptional sanitation standards, and managing a dedicated team of cleaning staff. Duties Team member will be expected to clean guest rooms 2-3 days a week and serve as the inspector and supervisor on duty the other 2-3 days a week. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist the Housekeeping Manager in coordinating daily cleaning schedules and operational workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks. Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff, providing clear guidance on cleaning procedures, safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and industrial cleaning zones to verify cleanliness and adherence to hygiene protocols. Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures related to custodial and janitorial tasks. Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, linens, and sanitation materials; ensure proper storage and usage in compliance with safety regulations. Enforce sanitation protocols aligned with health standards and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests. Address guest requests or concerns promptly with professionalism, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or hospitality housekeeping management with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, industrial cleaning methods, and safety regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly. Experience in managing janitorial supplies, laundry operations, and sanitation management within a hospitality or commercial setting. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills combined with managerial communication abilities to foster a positive team environment. Physical ability to perform cleaning duties that may require standing for extended periods and handling cleaning equipment.
