We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Director to join our team at Portage Lakes Nursing & Rehab. The Housekeeping Director will oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring that our facility maintains a spotless, hygienic, and welcoming environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Supervise, train, and manage housekeeping and laundry personnel, creating balanced schedules and ensuring staff are equipped to perform their duties efficiently.

Department Operations:

Direct daily cleaning routines, manage linen inventory, control supplies, and ensure proper maintenance of department equipment.

Quality Control:

Conduct routine inspections across all resident rooms, common areas, and administrative offices to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.

Customer Service:

Interact warmly with residents, families, and team members to address facility environment requests promptly and courteously.

Compliance & Infection Control:

Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, including OSHA guidelines, infection control standards, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 to 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in housekeeping, preferably within a healthcare or long-term care facility. Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning standards, equipment, and sanitation regulations. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. #PRIMACARE123
