Job Description

The Environmental Services Manager manages housekeeping, linen, and cleanliness of the grounds. The manager will schedule, train, assign, supervise, and evaluate work assigned to housekeeping and laundry personnel at CMH. This position will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the departments and maintain the hospital and CMH clinics in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition to meet Health Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) requirements and patient satisfaction standards. This position will ensure quality services are being provided during all shifts in the Hospital and CMH Clinics. The EVS Manager is expected to be a working manager and perform housekeeping and laundry services as needed in addition to performing management duties. Job Requirements Knowledge of fundamental housekeeping and laundry service processes, staffing, regulatory requirements, maintaining documentation, ability to properly and efficiently train staff, interpret and apply related CMH policies and procedures. Ability to collaboratively assess and develop creative solutions to provide the very best customer service to CMH's internal and external customers. Organizational and planning skills. Must work well with others and have good customer service skills.
License/Certification:
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional or similar preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Education and/or
Experience:
High School or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree. The position requires three years of progressively responsible housekeeping and custodial experience preferably in an acute care hospital, and 2 years of supervisory experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel and Word. Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance This position requires heavy physical effort (lifts/carry up to 50 lbs); prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking; considerable reaching, pushing, stooping, bending kneeling and crouching. This position will be exposed to housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals; works in precarious or slippery locations. May be exposed to infectious environments.
