General Manager Position Summary The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for leading and managing all housekeeping operations within the hotel to ensure exceptional cleanliness, guest comfort, and presentation standards. This role oversees guest rooms, public areas, laundry operations, inventory control, and housekeeping staff while maintaining the highest levels of hospitality and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, suites, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces. Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping staff, including supervisors, room attendants, laundry attendants, and housepersons. Ensure all rooms and hotel areas meet brand standards, cleanliness expectations, and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality assurance standards. Coordinate room status updates with the Front Office department to ensure efficient room turnover and guest readiness. Manage housekeeping inventories, linens, uniforms, cleaning supplies, and operating equipment. Monitor departmental budgets, labor costs, and supply expenses. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and special accommodations. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, OSHA regulations, and sanitation standards. Develop and implement training programs to improve employee performance and guest service. Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Maintain lost-and-found procedures and accurate departmental records. Collaborate with Maintenance and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experiences. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in Hospitality Management preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of hotel housekeeping experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and safety regulations. Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) preferred. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
