Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping and laundry teams while ensuring exceptional cleanliness, operational efficiency, and outstanding guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily department operations, maintaining brand cleanliness standards, managing staff scheduling and performance, controlling departmental expenses, and creating a positive, service-focused work environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment and is committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Schedule, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping and laundry team members. Assign daily room responsibilities and ensure staff have the necessary linens, supplies, and equipment. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with company and brand cleanliness standards. Coordinate routine and deep cleaning projects throughout the hotel. Monitor labor hours, productivity, and departmental expenses while maintaining quality standards. Manage inventory and ordering of housekeeping and laundry supplies. Ensure all team members follow company policies, safety procedures, and uniform standards. Address guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally. Communicate maintenance issues and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely resolution. Conduct regular departmental meetings and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Maintain accurate records, reports, schedules, and inventory counts. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment while promoting accountability and operational excellence. Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations. Qualifications Previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience required; hotel experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate, train, and develop team members. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards. Strong time management and problem-solving abilities. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Professional appearance and adherence to company grooming and uniform standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems is a plus.
