Environmental Services Manager - Full Time Experience is Healthcare Facilities

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Services Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in facilities management, ensuring that our environment meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing a small team of housekeeping staff, coordinating maintenance activities, and implementing effective cleaning protocols. Responsibilities Supervise and lead housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient operation and high-quality service delivery. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain cleanliness across all areas. Manage maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high and low voltage), and industrial maintenance equipment. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and scheduling repairs. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with project management teams on facility upgrades or renovations as needed. Provide training to staff on the proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schematics for equipment repairs and upkeep. Requirements Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or other related medical facilities. Training in environmental control practices and procedures preferred Must be able to understand the English language. Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing housekeeping functions in the nursing care facility. Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc.; as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations. Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Housekeeping/Maintenance Department. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., the appearance of housekeeping/maintenance areas, and must perform regular inspections of resident rooms or units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties. Must have the ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition. Proven experience in a management role within housekeeping or facilities management.
