In this dynamic leadership position, you will oversee Environmental Services and Food & Nutrition Services operations, guiding high-performing teams, driving quality and service excellence, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
Manages and maintains the Environmental Services (EVS) and Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) systems that provide for high quality, high satisfaction outcomes. Provide direction and oversight to EVS and FANS staff and supervisors. Supervises the recruitment, hiring, and training of workforce; assures competency of personnel through approved hospital mechanisms, and completes annual performance reviews of direct reports. Plans, controls and monitors budget standards and expectations by maintaining expenses and man-hour utilization. Maintain department standards relative to HACCP, safety, JCAHO standards, established local, state, and federal regulations, and hospital policy and procedures. Plans and implements programs/activities to meet the needs of patients/customers in accordance with budgetary expectations and quality assurance standards. Manages and controls food inventory, linen, cleaning chemicals, and paper supplies to ensure quality and safety. Assure the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facilities, including all relevant off-site locations, and all areas that impact HCAHPS scores. Develop and ensure implementation of department policies and procedures in an efficient and effective manner for both Food and Nutrition and EVS. Develop and maintain expenditures within the approved annual operating and capital budgets.
Schedule:
Rotating days of the week, including weekends. Primarily evening shift 3-11:30PM but can vary. On call required. Occasional travel to UPMC Greene is also needed in this role.
