•: Supervise the operations of the housekeeping staff promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets and minimal expenses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: 1. Supervise the housekeeping staff; providing open communications, training, coach and counsel and provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency. 2. Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, LSOPs and SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. 3. Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation. 4. Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are availablewhile controlling expenses. 5. Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction. Report guest requests and concerns to Service Promise Help Desk in a timely fashion. Fully comply with the Service Promise program. 6. Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquires to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction. 7. Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guests, staff and company assets. 8. In the absence of the Housekeeping manager, assume the roll of Acting Housekeeping Manager. 9. Insure that all areas including guest rooms and storage areas are locked and secured throughout the day and before leaving for the day. Insure that all equipment including section keys have been accounted for and secured. 10. Report guest requests and concerns to Service Promise Help Desk in a timely manner. Fully comply with the Service Promise program. 11. May assist the staff in the performance of duties to include: Cleaning of rooms, cleaning of lobby, turndown service, trash removal. 12. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.

High school education or equivalent experience
Experience:
Experience required by position is from one to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s)
Skills and Abilities:
Requires working knowledge of Housekeeping and the hotel's/ Interstate's services, policies and operations. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Requires supervisory skills. Ability to communicate information and hotel services to management and guests. A second language is a plus.
