Job Description
Position Summary The Head Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and brand compliance. This role manages housekeeping staff, inspects guest rooms and public areas, controls inventory, and ensures efficient daily operations in alignment with company and brand standards. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping staff. Conduct daily morning meetings and assign room boards. Ensure team members follow proper cleaning procedures and brand standards. Coach and counsel staff as needed to maintain performance expectations. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations. Quality Control & Inspections Inspect guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house areas daily. Ensure rooms meet brand and company cleanliness standards before release. Monitor guest feedback and address housekeeping-related concerns promptly. Maintain readiness for brand inspections and QA audits. Operations Management Manage daily room status reports and coordinate with Front Desk. Ensure timely room turnover, especially during high occupancy. Oversee deep cleaning schedules and preventive maintenance reporting. Maintain organized housekeeping storage areas. Inventory & Cost Control Monitor linen, towel, and supply inventory levels. Place orders for cleaning supplies and amenities as needed. Control labor costs through proper scheduling. Minimize waste and prevent loss of supplies and linens. Laundry Oversight (if applicable) Supervise laundry operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
