Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction through spotless environments, and uphold safety protocols across all housekeeping activities. Your leadership will inspire a team committed to maintaining the highest levels of hospitality and hygiene. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service. Oversee cleaning routines including floor care, vacuuming, and detailed sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Ensure proper handling and storage of chemical agents used for cleaning, adhering strictly to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling procedures. Train staff on the use of cleaning equipment, janitorial techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and hotel emergency procedures. Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations related to custodial work, heavy lifting, manual handling, and sanitation standards. Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met or exceeded; address any deficiencies promptly. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper maintenance of all janitorial tools. Experience Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial supervision within a hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and hotel housekeeping management systems. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service. Experience with cleaning equipment operation including vacuuming machines and other janitorial tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely in a fast-paced setting.
