Job Description Lead the Environmental Services team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the Swinomish Casino, Lodge, RV Park, restaurants, kitchens, gaming areas, offices, and public spaces. This hands-on leadership role oversees custodial operations across multiple shifts, supervising and supporting EST and Heavy-Duty Cleaning staff while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, schedule, train, and mentor the Environmental Services team members. Oversee daily cleaning, deep-cleaning, floor care, carpet care, restroom sanitation, and waste removal. Conduct inspections to ensure quality standards, sanitation requirements, and safety regulations are met. Monitor inventory and ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained. Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance coaching, and disciplinary recommendations. Support special events, facility setups, seasonal snow removal, and other operational needs. Lead by example by working alongside team members and promoting teamwork, accountability, and exceptional guest service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum three (3) years of custodial experience in a commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, or similar environment, including at least one (1) year in a leadership role. Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, floor care equipment, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn computerized work order systems. Ability to obtain a Class IV Swinomish Gaming Commission Permit upon hire. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and perform the physical demands of an active, hands-on supervisory role.
