Job Description
Job Summary:
Little Sweden Resort is a growing timeshare resort and luxury vacation home rental property that is looking for a Director of Housekeeping! We currently have 62 homes and are still building with another 4 rental units palnned for 2027. We are seeking a skilled Director of Housekeeping to oversee the cleanliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality with a strong background in housekeeping management at either a hotel, resort or short-term rental management company.Responsibilities:
- This candidate will work well independently, communicate/collaborate ideas with the housekeeping assistant, lead by example, and lead/guide/train a great team!!
- Manage and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures
- Order all supplies that pertain to the housekeeping and laundry department
- Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure standards are met
- Handle customer complaints and special requests promptly
- Train new employees on proper cleaning techniques
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Responsible for auditing payroll for staff
- D uties include but may not be limited to:
- Quality control inspections . Stripping assigned units in preparation for cleaning
- Coaching/correcting housekeepers
- Managing supply inventory and ordering
- Staff scheduling and assigning of duties
- Ordering supplies for new builds
- Training new housekeeping and laundry staff
- Cleaning public areas or units as needed
- Completing laundry as needed
- Set up of new rental homes
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven experience in housekeeping management
- Knowledge of cleaning products/ practices as well as floor & carpet care
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to lead our housekeeping team to success.
