General Manager.
DRESS CODE
Head Housekeeper uniform including name tag.
PHYSICAL
Must be able to lift 40 pounds occasionally. Must be able to inspect all guest rooms and public areas of hotel. Must be able to help out in an emergency situation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, hire, and train all housekeeping and laundry personnel. Provides team leadership by leading by example and helping out when needed. Is responsible for counseling and reprimanding personnel on his/her staff. Prepares weekly staffing schedules. Breaks out the house daily and assigns rooms to be cleaned. Controls all department costs, payroll, supplies, and inventories. Does a monthly inventory. Does daily room inspections to ensure consistent cleanliness. Schedules regular deep cleaning projects. Provides training for new and current staff. Maintains key control of all housekeeping keys. Sets up department guidelines for employee start times, break times, lunch times, and punching in and out times. Ensures all safety standards are met. Maintains accurate lost and found log/storage Ensures proper user of chemicals and all supplies as per OSHA standards
