General Manager About the Role We are seeking an experienced, motivated Head of Housekeeping to join the opening leadership team of a new 40-room luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of the New River Gorge National Park. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building, leading, and maintaining all housekeeping operations while delivering exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and guest service. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in pre-opening environments, enjoys creating systems from the ground up, and takes pride in setting high standards. The right candidate brings strong operational expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for both team leadership and guest experience. Key Responsibilities Build and oversee all housekeeping operations for a luxury boutique hotel Recruit, train, schedule, and lead housekeeping staff Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet luxury cleanliness and presentation standards Develop and maintain housekeeping SOPs, workflows, and quality control processes Conduct regular inspections and address deficiencies promptly Manage inventory, par levels, purchasing, and vendor relationships Prepare schedules, manage payroll, and control labor costs Collaborate closely with Front Desk and Facilities to ensure room readiness Respond to guest requests and concerns with professionalism and discretion Uphold safety, sanitation, and sustainability standards appropriate to a national park setting Qualifications & Experience 3-5+ years of housekeeping leadership experience, preferably in luxury boutique or resort environments Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, inventory management, and payroll Experience building or rebuilding a housekeeping program strongly preferred Proven leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to balance hands-on work with strategic oversight Excellent communication and guest service skills Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays What We're Looking For A detail-driven leader with high personal standards Someone excited about building a department and setting culture from day one A hospitality professional who enjoys interacting with diverse guests A collaborative leader who works well across departments What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to shape and lead a flagship housekeeping program Leadership role in a new luxury boutique hotel Work in one of the most scenic destinations in the country Growth potential as the property and brand evolvePay:
