Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Job Vacancy:

Custodian 1. Personal Requirements ¨ Must be in good health in order to meet the physical requirements of the position, i.e. emptying/carrying trash, mopping, vacuuming floors. ¨ Must have a pleasant disposition, be courteous to visitors, supervisors, and to the church members in general ¨ Must understand the importance of the church building - that it is a witness to the world; therefore, it must be kept clean ¨ Must not smoke on the premises or treat the church as common 2. Knowledge and Skill Requirements ¨ Must be able to operate vacuum cleaner, floor polisher and waxer, and other small electrical hand tools ¨ Must be knowledgeable of the proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions 3. Hours ¨ Will be assigned not to exceed 30 hours weekly (from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM) ¨ Hours may be adjusted as the work load increases or decreases 4. Salary ¨ Current hourly wage is $7.09. ¨ The custodian will receive three paid holidays: New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. ¨ There is no paid vacation or fringe benefits associated with this position. 5. Duties A.

Daily:

ü Pick up debris inside and outside buildings 1, & 2 ü Empty all trash receptacles ü Check the buildings for security and condition ü Keep all doors closed when rooms and areas are not in use ü Vacuum administrative wing ü Clean and sanitize all bathrooms

Weekly:

ü Dust organ, piano, pews, and all wood on platform in sanctuary, classrooms, and offices (small & large sanctuaries) ü Vacuum all other carpeted classrooms (THE

MAIN SANCTUARY SHOULD BE VACUUMED ON MONDAY & THURSDAY AND ANYTIME FOLLOWING MAJOR USAGE, I.E. A FUNERAL OR SPECIAL PROGRAM

) ü Clean window ledges and remove spider webs or other debris ü Clean all glass doors and mirrors (This should be done on Monday & Thursday or following funerals/special programs) C.

Monthly:

ü Dust all musical instruments ü Dust all baseboards ü Clean all windows in main sanctuary building. (The windows in the small sanctuary and Bible Collegebuilding, bldgs. 1 & 2, should be cleaned quarterly) ü Clean entrances of spider webs, wasp nests, etc. as needed 6. Day following each service ü Check the backs of pews and throughout the sanctuary for lost or misplaced items. These should be placed in the Ushers' closet. (Jewelry should be turned into administration.) 7. Other ¨ Mop and wax all tiled areas in the church as deemed necessary by Pastor Barnes or his designee ¨ Set up tables and chairs for church functions upon request ¨ Clean kitchen floor as needed ¨ Additional duties as assigned by the Pastor or his designee.¨ 8.

• General supervision will be by Pastor Barnes or his appointee.

•An evaluation conference will be conducted with the Pastor and/or the personnel committee annually.

Pay:

$7.25 per hour Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
