A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Positive attitude toward working with staff and students. Ability to supervise students. Physical ability to stand, walk, and move actively through the work period while supervising students.

Monitoring students in lunchroom and playground to help students safely play and use recess equipment. Washing tables between lunches and maintaining general lunchroom cleanliness. Other duties as assigned.
