Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Custodian Supervisor and performing the assigned duties Clean, sanitize and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products Dust, wax, and wipe furniture Vacuum and mop floors and carpet Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary Offer help when setting up facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety Follow instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace Drives vehicles require to perform or travel to cleaning work sites.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing maintenance tasks
- Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
- Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
- Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing maintenance tasks
- Must have and maintain a valid state
