Full job description Janitor Perform various cleaning activities in office areas, industrial buildings, and outer grounds. Essential Skills & Functions

• Maintains premises.
• Ensure that the rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings, and outdoor grounds are kept clean and organized.
• Dust furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, wax, and buff floors.
• Polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and trimmings.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Utilize janitorial supplies.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and other shared spaces.
• Perform a variety of non-mechanical tasks.
• Carry out additional cleaning duties as required.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor.
• Work a complete 8-hour shift.
• Ensure attendance and punctuality to follow a strict schedule.
• Maintain good departmental housekeeping for safe and efficient operations.
• Understand and follow all safety related standards and practice.
• Ability to read, speak and write in English.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Notes:

Each employee will be trained to perform all of the above tasks. Physical Demands Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, walk, turn, pivot, push, pull, reach overhead and stand for 8 or more hours a day. Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or incline surfaced for extended periods of time. You must display excellent time management skills, be able to work with little or no supervision and communicate regularly. Ability to work in varying temperatures indoor/outdoor, depending upon season. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to hear well, naturally or corrected. Work in manufacturing environment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically 7:30am - 4:00pm. However, Evenings, Overtime and Saturday may be required to meet the business demand. Must have reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Work Environment Working environment may include indoor/outdoor areas/sites and will require constant vigilance and care. This person would be responsible for working with cleaning materials including a variety of chemicals, and safe, proper handling of these chemicals is a MUST. The job also requires constant movement around the building, meaning there is a lot of walking! NACCO Aerospace maintains a drug-free workplace and performs post offer drug testing.
