Local company is hiring for janitorial position to perform a variety of tasks throughout the workday on plant site. This is a contractor position working on site at a hazardous waste disposal industrial plant. Position(s) will be a day shift, Monday through Friday--candidate(s) should be available to work 40 hours per week and have reliable transportation. Position(s) will require physical activity to perform the janitorial tasks and may involve some lifting, pushing and/or pulling. Candidate(s) should be able to lift/maneuver at least 50 pounds. Candidate(s) will work along with Head Janitor and follow a schedule of tasks as provided. A variety of tasks to be performed at different locations throughout the plant site include: emptying waste containers and replace trash liners as needed, sweeping, dry dust mopping, wet mopping (moving of mats, chairs, etc. required prior to mopping), dusting/cleaning desk areas as instructed by Head Janitor, dusting/cleaning and vacuuming lobby areas, removal of cobwebs and dirt/debris from corners, cleaning door entryway windows, cleaning bathrooms (clean/disinfect sinks, toilets, & urinals; clean mirrors, towel dispensers etc.; replace soap, paper towels, toilet paper as necessary), cleaning both men's and women's shower houses as shown and instructed by Head Janitor. Helpful skills for position include good communication, ability to multi-task and follow directions, time management with attention to details, good work ethic, and a positive teamwork disposition.
