What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Essential Duties Remove roots, debris, and other refuse from clogged sewer lines and drains using portable electric sewer cleaning machines. Operate sewer cleaning equipment, including sewer snakes and high-pressure water jets. Evaluate, maintain, and repair drain equipment. Respond to drain calls as they come into dispatch at various hours of the day (or night). Meet with current and potential clients to discuss benefits of a drain PM program and educate them on our abilities to service their drain needs. Create a drain program with processes and procedures to help with the longevity of our equipment and to keep our employees safe as they operate equipment. Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent, required State Plumbing license If not currently in possession of, must work towards obtaining Skills & Experience A minimum of five (5) years of experience in drain cleaning, preferred Good organizational and time-management skills Ability to communicate clearly with clients and other employees Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance A current valid driver's license is required This job description outlines the primary duties of the position, but is not intended to cover every task or responsibility.
