Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a positive atmosphere for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive attitude are highly valued. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as window washing, floor stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning as needed. Ensure all custodial equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to promote a safe working environment. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel. Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives to uphold facility standards. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or institutional setting is preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly. Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment. Experience working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a hygienic environment.
