Full Job Description Position Summary:

Cleans and disinfects sterile storage, clean prep and pack, sterile processing, and decontamination areas in Central Sterile departments at Hu Hu Kam (HHK) and Red Tail Hawk (RTH) and Dental sterile processing rooms at HHK, RTH, Komatke Health Center (KHC). Primary shift is evening hours.

Critical Tasks:

Maintains a clean, attractive, and safe environment in assigned areas by performing a variety of appropriate cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room set-up, trash removal, and linen handling duties. Handles chemicals and materials associated with cleaning including soaps, solvents, and surface cleaners. Cleans a variety of surfaces, such as walls, floors, ceilings, counter tops, furniture, shelving, sinks and wash basins, computer accessories, light switches, and trash and linen receptacles. Performs scheduled deep cleaning per weekly or monthly basis including sterilizing loading carts, cleaning air intake and ventilation ducts, lighting fixtures, stained ceiling tiles, walls, and storage shelves. Removes, transports, and disposes of waste products within Central Sterile and Dental sterile processing rooms, from origination point to disposal location. Interacts closely with Infection Prevention, Central Sterile, Dental, and Safety to identify and mitigate potential patient safety issues. Performs other job-related activities as requested.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required. At least 1 year previous institutional cleaning experience required Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
