In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. Your proactive approach will contribute to a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount. Responsibilities Locker Room Duties (Male & Female Applicants) Due to the nature of these specific duties — which require presence in the men's locker room while members are showering, changing, or otherwise in a state of undress — this portion of the role is limited to male & female applicants as a bona fide occupational qualification under California Government Code §12940(a)(1) and applicable FEHA regulations. Clean and sanitize women's locker room, showers, sinks, and restroom fixtures Restock towels, toiletries, and paper products Empty trash and replace liners in locker room area Maintain floors in the locker room specifically Wash steam room and hose down cleaning solutions Maintain and clean sauna & steam room Clean and mop around urinals and toilets Hose down large debris from wet areas Wipe down and scrub jacuzzi Wipe down and scrub shower benches Wash and maintain showers, refill body wash dispensers Organize stools near locker rows Shut and empty any open lockers Dry around sink counters Pick up any trash and compress trash cans Empty any recyclables from locker trash cans Clean tops and insides of lockers Assist members with small tasks as needed General Facility Duties (Open to All Qualified Applicants) Sweep, mop, and maintain common areas, gym floor, and equipment Wipe down shared equipment and surfaces Properly sort and recycle cans and other recyclables before disposal at the dumpster Report maintenance issues to management Remove and replace trash bags as needed Tear down cardboard boxes and recycle Crush and jump on top of dumpster to make space throughout the week Other janitorial duties as assigned outside restricted areas Set up chairs/tables for events Wash PT towels and rags Laundry shower curtains Vacuum high-traffic areas and workout areas Requirements No experience needed — training provided Intermediate to proficient conversational Spanish Reliable and able to work independently Able to receive and apply constructive criticism/feedback professionally
