In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order across various areas, ensuring a professional environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Your proactive approach and commitment to quality will help create a positive impression and uphold the highest standards of facility upkeep. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to maintain a pristine environment. Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure floors remain durable and visually appealing. Assist with general custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, adapting to different cleaning requirements as needed. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe workspace for everyone. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained for optimal performance. Provide porter services including moving furniture or equipment to facilitate cleaning or space reorganization. Follow health and safety protocols diligently to uphold sanitation standards and prevent accidents. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of custodial procedures. Skilled in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to enhance surface longevity. Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices suited for office buildings, retail spaces, or industrial facilities. Experience with residential painting or light maintenance tasks is a plus to support facility upkeep. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly.
