Under general supervision, provides routine customer service duties in support of aquatics facilities including overseeing personal property lockers for guests, and performing unskilled general labor work in cleaning and maintaining City Aquatorium.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties. Receives, returns and keeps safe the personal property of Aquatorium patrons. Performs custodial, janitorial, and minor facility maintenance duties in such a manner that high levels of cleanliness are maintained; follows all safety rules and regulations to minimize risk of accidents and enhance the safety of employees and visitors. Performs routine cleaning, restroom and shower sanitation, floor care, and trash disposal in City Aquatorium. Restocks supplies. Inspects and maintains assigned custodial equipment and small tools for proper operating condition; completes minor repairs on cleaning equipment as needed. Sets up for swim meets and other special events. Responds as directed to perform emergency cleaning work as required. Completes daily work log, incident and accident reports, and requisitions for supplies and materials. Ensures that hazardous materials are cleaned up in a timely manner and controlled according to City policy and procedures. Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education and Experience:
No specific educational requirements; must be 16 years of age.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Required Licenses or Certifications:
Must be able to acquire a valid California driver's license within six (6) months of hire. First Aid and CPR training within six (6) months of hire.
