This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable for staff, visitors, and clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of sanitation and safety. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools efficiently to maintain floors and surfaces. Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups as needed. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or hazards promptly for swift resolution. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with cleaning techniques for different surfaces including floors, carpets, and fixtures. Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices to move supplies or equipment. Customer service skills are a plus for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when necessary. Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and custodial experience in residential or commercial environments is advantageous. Previous porter experience or facilities maintenance background will be considered an asset.
