Job Summary:
Mayflower Gardens, a 502-unit senior apartmentmunity located in Lancaster, CA, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Porter to support the overall upkeep of the property. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of themunity, ensuring afortable and weing environment for residents. The Porter plays a key role in day-to-day operations by assisting with janitorial tasks, maintainingmon areas, and supporting the maintenance team as needed. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates attention to detail, and ismitted to providing a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment for our senior residents. Key Responsibilities Grounds Maintenance Maintain the outside appearance of themunity, including landscaping, walkways, and parking lots. Perform daily trash runs to keep the grounds free of litter and debris. Empty and replace liners in trash receptacles around themunity grounds and inmon areas. Clean andanize outdoor spaces, including courtyards, entryways, and sidewalks. Common Area Cleaning Clean and sanitize laundry rooms daily to ensure they are tidy and functional for residents. Clean and maintain light fixtures and globes inmon areas. Ensure hallways, stairwells, and d spaces are free of dust, dirt, and cobwebs. Paint curbs, benches, or othermunity features as necessary to maintain a professional appearance. Move-Out Preparation Assist in removing items left behind by vacating residents. Support maintenance staff in preparing units for turnover. General Duties any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. Operate equipment such as blowers, pressure washers, and floor scrubbers as needed. Assist with special cleaning or maintenance projects as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 pounds regularly. Moderate bending, stooping, and physical activity required daily. Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, or property maintenance is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and the ability to work independently.
Compensation:
Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. The role is considered Full Time non-exempt so will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law. The anticipated base pay range for the position is $18.00- $20.00 per hour.
