JANITOR/MAINTENANCE

Worker We are seeking an individual who understandS the importance of cleanliness and technique. Someone who can work independently without supervision. The qualified candidate will possess a commitment to keeping our venue spotless. The position requires you to perform heavy cleaning duties, The ideal candidate will be able to perform General Building Maintenance and Repairs. Professional, positive, and ready to work!

Duties:

• Clean two-story building by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming. Gather, empty, and discard trash and recycling.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Deep clean facilities. Maintain clean floors, toilets, sinks and mirrors. Keep restrooms smelling fresh and free of urine and waste.
• Clean, and supply Kitchen. Deep clean cook area. Maintain clean floors, sinks and tabletops. Keep Kitchen fresh and free of debris and trash.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Polish floors.
• Remove and replace light bulbs inside facility. Able to climb ladders and stairs
• Maintain a clean work area in accordance with health codes. Ensure that custodial workstations are kept clean, orderly, and in good repair.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Maintain or do not disturb insecticides and fumigants arranged by Pest Control Company to prevent insect and rodent infestation. Dispose of trapped rodents and insects. Report pest activity.
• Maintenance cleans lobby, showroom, bathrooms, breakrooms, kitchen and bar.
• Properly use shared tenant recycling and waste bins. Abide by property regulations
• Must be able to monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking, protecting entry/exit doors.

Maintenance must responsibly secure the premises when entering and exiting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years maintenance experience in fast paced restaurant style environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Must be friendly, hard working, and attentive. Attention to detail and time management are key.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and electrical equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Must be able to monitor building security and safety.
• History working with electrical appliances and potentially hazardous chemicals.
• Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods (4-5 hours). Capable of climbing ladders, and bending, stooping, or kneeling to clean floors.
• Discretion and professionalism expected at all hours when guest are present and when working independently
• Able to work nights/weekend/Holidays.
