PM Pay Range:

$20.00•$21.00 per hour Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Facility Engineer, the Janitor is responsible for performing general cleaning and basic maintenance duties across all company buildings. This role ensures a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly work environment in accordance with company standards. The position may involve access to confidential information, and adherence to a Confidentiality Agreement is strictly enforced. Essential Functions Maintain cleanliness of all departments and buildings, including parking lots and building exteriors. Perform daily inspections of shop areas, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas for spills, trash, and general cleanliness. Sanitize door handles, metallic plates, and other high-touch surfaces. Ensure all areas are organized, dusted, swept, mopped, vacuumed, and maintained regularly. Operate mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums. Dust and/or wipe tables, counters, light fixtures, windowsills, baseboards, mirrors, vents, time clocks, and similar surfaces as needed. Clean, service, and restock restroom supplies including toilet paper and paper towels. Sweep, air blow, and power wash building fronts and parking lots as required. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request reorders when necessary. Empty trash containers in shop areas and restrooms daily using proper disposal methods. Wash windows as needed. Report maintenance issues immediately to the Facility Engineer (e.g., leaks, loose fixtures, missing hardware). Follow proper procedures when using chemical cleaners to prevent damage or injury. Set up tables and chairs for meetings and company events as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Previous experience in general cleaning or basic maintenance preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Physical Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position. Use tactile senses to assess object size, weight, shape, and distance. Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Work Environment Machine shop environment with exposure to large machinery and equipment. Clean and well-ventilated production areas. Regular exposure to chemical cleaners and sanitation solvents. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves may be required. Moderate noise levels.
