Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Environmental Services (EVS) Ambassador Lead is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the housekeeping staff, cleanliness of the facility and assigned areas. Responds to telephone and written requests from hospital departments by dispatching appropriate personnel. Trains new employees, assigns work flow, and leads to ensure staff is working at the level of expectation. Performs quality assurance checks. Monitors Loma Linda Electronic Access Portal (LLEAP) to ensure cleaning requests are handled in a timely manner. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Minimum two years of housekeeping experience in a hospital environment required. Minimum six months supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Able to read, write and speak in English. Able to read and follow written and oral instructions. Able to distinguish colors and hear sufficiently in order to safely complete job duties. Able to work independently. Knowledge of proper use of housekeeping equipment required; the Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Occupations Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other regulatory agencies preferred. Able to properly use carpet or furniture extractor, floor buffer, vacuums, buckets, wringers, dust mops, dusting equipment, step ladders, cleaning carts, sprays bottles, etc.
