Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective cleaning without hazards. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting in accordance with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain cleanliness by performing trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface disinfecting throughout assigned areas. Operate custodial equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to ensure optimal performance and safety. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for plumbing or electrical issues. Support other team members by providing coverage in different areas or shifts as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and procedures. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following all safety protocol adherence guidelines. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards. Prior experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills with a customer service mindset to interact professionally with team members and visitors.
