Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in assigned areas. Maintain floors through buffing and waxing as needed to ensure a polished appearance. Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report any significant issues to management. Ensure restrooms are stocked, clean, and sanitary at all times. Provide support for special events by setting up and breaking down areas as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness. Qualifications Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is a plus. Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is beneficial. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
