Approximately 1,000 works from the permanent collection of 12,000 objects are on view in the Norton Simon Museum's galleries and sculpture garden throughout the year. Summary Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this full-time position provides janitorial services. Qualifications Previous experience as a custodian is preferred. Must be able to demonstrate the proper use of equipment, materials and supplies that are commonly used in building maintenance. Responsibilities Performs cleaning of the offices, galleries, theater, restrooms and storage areas using approved methods and products Replenishes supplies in restrooms and kitchen areas Makes timely requests to restock custodial supplies Maintains custodial equipment in proper operating condition Performs minor plumbing repairs as needed Assists with special projects as needed Physical Requirements This position requires strenuous physical activity, walking, climbing stairs and standing for long periods.
