Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold high sanitation standards. Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning supplies and equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces. Conduct routine maintenance of cleaning tools and machinery, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and in working order. Follow safety protocols diligently when handling heavy lifting or performing manual handling tasks to prevent injuries. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and other designated areas with attention to detail. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall building upkeep. Adhere strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all occupants. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs or painting is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and equipment operation. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with building occupants or visitors when necessary.
