This role is essential in ensuring that our environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all occupants. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, experience with commercial and industrial cleaning, and a commitment to safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained facility by performing thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks that uphold hygiene standards and promote a positive atmosphere. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors, surfaces, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas with proper cleaning agents. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of custodial tools and equipment, including floor buffers and industrial cleaning devices. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting in residential or commercial settings. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning or maintenance activities. Support other team members in maintaining a clean, organized environment that meets health and safety regulations. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical agents and sanitation practices. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to chemical handling and heavy lifting. Background in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently. Strong customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with building occupants or clients. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Pay:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
